
The Philatelic Record (1879 to 1914)
The Philatelic Record was a philatelic magazine published between February 1879 and 1914. It was originally published by Pemberton, Wilson and Company of London up to November 1890.
From December 1890 it was published by Theodor Buhl and Company who had amalgamated the former publisher. In July 1895 Theodor Buhl and Company became Buhl & Company. In January 1896 The Philatelic Record was merged with The Stamp News (which had also been published by Theodor Buhl and Company) to form The Philatelic Record and Stamp News, under the editorship of Edward J. Nankivell.
In January 1900 it reverted to its original title and publishing and editorship was taken over by Sir Isaac Pitman and Sons.

Le Timbre-Poste (1863 to 1900)
The Le Timbre-Poste was the first French language philatelic magazine. It was published by Jean-Baptiste Moens of Brussels from 1863 to 1900.
Le Timbre Fiscal was included as a supplement from 1879 and incorporated from January 1897 when the whole was renamed Le Timbre-Poste et Le Timbre Fiscal.
After Moens retired in 1900 it was discovered that his brother-in-law, Louis Hanciau, had actually been responsible for most of the literary content.


Gibbons Stamp Monthly Journal (1890 to present)
The Gibbons Stamp Monthly Journal was published by the British firm of Stanley Gibbons. It was first published in 1890 and has various titles and is now known as the Gibbons Stamp Monthly.
Regarding the stamps of the Philippines a number of articles written by Louis Hanciau appeared in the Journal between March 1905 and February 1906 describing the stamps of the Spanish Philippines.

The London Philatelist (1892 to present)
The London Philatelist is the Journal of The Philatelic Society, London and was first published in 1892. It is currently published ten times a year and covers the whole world's philately and postal history.

American Journal of Philately (1868 to ? )
The American Journal of Philately was first published by John Scott a stamp dealer in America (who also publised the Scott Catalogue). By 1890 the Journal was published monthly by the Scott Stamp & Coin Co. Limited with single copies sold for 5cts and provided updates on new stamp issues compiled from authorities and individual research.
Between 1890 and 1899 the Journal was edited by Henry Calman.


Gazette Timbrologique (1891 to 1897)
The Gazette Timbrologique was a French language philatelic magazine and the Journal of the Societe Timbrologique d'Echanges. The director of the Society at that time was J Poncin. It was published at first in Paris (and later Geneva) from October 1891 to 1897.
The Gazette Timbrologique, although with articles relating to French philately, like many other magazines of that period, attempted to Chronicle new issues around the world.

Elizdale Stamp Journal (1939 to 1941 ?)
The Elizdale Stamp Journal was the magazine published by the Elizdale Stamp Club in Manila. The Elizdale Stamp Club was an exclusive club for employees of Elizdale & Co Inc and its subsidiary corporations.
The Journal was edited by Pablo Esperidion.

Philippine Journal of Philately (1949 ? to 1961 ?)
The Philippine Journal of Philately was a bi-monthly magazine of published by the Stamp and Philatelic Bureau of Posts, Manila.
It appears to have mainly covered recent events and issues from the Republic period.

1938 ?)
The AFF Revista Dedicada al Fomento del la Filatelia (AFF Magazine Dedicated to the Promotion of Philately) was published by the Association Filatelica de Filipinas.


Philippine Philatelic Society Journal (~1961? to 2008?)
The Philippine Philatelic Society Journal was the Journal of the Philippine Philatelic Society.
Alan Walder was known to be the editor between 2002 to 2008 (and possibly for the entire period of its publication).

Philippine Philatelic Journal (1974 to present)
The Philippine Philatelic Journal is the Journal of the International Philippine Philatelic Society (IPPS) and is published quarterly. The IPPS was formed in 1974. The Philippine Philatelic Journal was originally known as the Philippine Philatelic Newsletter and then from 1976 to 1990 as the Philippine Philatelic News.
Linda Stanfield was editor 1974 to 1987; Robert Yacano was editor between 1986 and 2008; Hans-Werner Becker has been the editor since 2008.
The IPPS also published the IPPS News in 1983 which was renamed the IPPS Newsletter in 1991 until 1994. Linda Stanfield was the editor between 1983 and 1985(?). Linda Stanfield and Eugene Garrett were joint editors during 1986 with Eugene Garrett taking over as sole editor in 1987. Robert Yacano was editor between 1988 and 1994.
